Dyson Vaccume

Dyson makes a few different models, and all of them are expensive. But this is presumably because they work great, which most of their customers tend to agree that they do.
Their most expensive models, which can run you over $500, are in "The Ball" line. The name comes from a big ball that serves as a giant wheel under the center of the vaccume. The value of this big ball is that is makes it easier to maneuver the vaccume.
Many owners of Dyson vaccumes say that they're easy to push, despite being heavy, and this includes models other than The Ball models. So the big ball probably isn't a good reason to spend an extra $50-$100. A non-ball model will probably be easy enough to push.
